BIO:

Carol has an MA in Communication. She freelanced for newspapers and magazines. She did stand-up comedy and wrote and produced children’s plays. Orange Blossom Publishing released her YA Mystery, Early Summer, in 2022. Black Rose Writing published her middle-grade fantasy, Isasnora Snores, in 2019. Rowley Peters and the Lumberjack Ghost is Paur’s third children’s book. Paur is a member of SCBWI, Wisconsin Writers Association, and Sisters in Crime. When she’s not writing, she’d heading up a Rotary Club, singing in two choirs, and letting her two dogs out every five minutes – or so it seems.  

SYNOPSIS:

Rowley Peters is camping with her family when she learns it's the site of a mummy excavation and of the legendary lumberjack ghost, Chicken McGee. Adding to her terror are thousands of frogs and a strange woman she calls Frog Lady. Rowley's ready to leave when her best friend, Huey, shows up. Huey, however, doesn't believe in ghosts, mummies or odd frog conspiracies. The best friends soon become enemies. Solving the mystery of Chicken McGee might be the only way to save their friendship.
